Byron Bay Bike Hire Prices: What to Budget and Book

By E-Machines · Byron Bay hire guides · September 2026

Planning a beach day, a lighthouse ride or a week without a car? The useful price is the total for the bike, dates and extras you actually need. This guide explains the published starting rates for our Byron Bay hire fleet and what to check before booking.

Quick answer

Pedal cruisers start from $25, cruiser e-bikes from $65 and premium fat-tyre e-bikes from $90. These are starting prices, not a quote for a particular duration. Enter your dates in our live booking system for the current total and availability.

Compare the starting prices

Published fleet starting prices in Australian dollars
Bike type From Consider it for
Single-speed cruiser $25 Short, relaxed rides around town
7-speed cruiser $30 Pedal riding with a choice of gears
Kids bike $30 Children who can ride independently; check fit
Cruiser e-bike $65 Town trips with pedal assistance
Premium fat-tyre e-bike $90 Wide-tyre comfort and electric assistance
Cargo e-bike $150 A suitable passenger or family setup

Pricing and models can change. A starting rate does not mean every model is available at that price on every date. Check the exact pickup and return period before comparing two quotes.

What is included, and what is extra?

Bike hire includes the bike, a helmet and a lock. Surfboard racks, baby seats and delivery are arrangements to check separately. Tell us what you intend to carry before booking: an accessory needs to fit the selected bike, and passenger setups need to suit the riders.

For a couple planning a lighthouse trip, compare the total for two suitable bikes over the same period. For a family, start with the children's ages and heights, then check the price of the complete combination of bikes and seats. The cheapest individual bike may not be the right setup for the group.

Is multi-day hire better value?

Multi-day and longer-term discounts are available. If you expect to ride between your accommodation, town and the beach throughout your stay, enter the whole rental period rather than assuming a daily rate multiplied by the number of days. Confirm overnight storage and, for an e-bike, charging arrangements before collecting.

Our multi-day hire checklist helps you plan that decision. If you only want one short outing, start with the duration you need and leave enough time for collection and return.

Before you pay: five things to check

  1. The bike category and size suit every rider.
  2. The dates and return time match your plans.
  3. Any rack, seat or delivery arrangement is confirmed.
  4. You have checked the booking terms, including cancellation and any security requirements.
  5. You know where to collect and how to contact the team if plans change.

Our published store hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, and weekends, 9am–4pm. Your booking confirmation determines the collection and return arrangement; do not assume an overnight or after-hours return is included.
